“The demand of Greek businesses for reducing energy costs and increasing their autonomy through renewable energy sources has found its strongest ally.”

As Net Billing systems with energy storage take center stage in PVMAINT’s business plans, its new collaboration with SERMATEC—one of the world’s leading manufacturers of energy storage systems—provides a definitive response to the needs of Greek businesses for customized and reliable solutions to reduce high energy costs and protect themselves against future price increases.

PVMAINT, a member of the Nextcom Group, with extensive expertise and strong experience in the study, design, installation, and maintenance of photovoltaic systems, confirms that investing in energy storage through BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) is the most attractive and profitable option, particularly for large industrial facilities. The return on investment can be achieved in a short period, often within less than five years.

SERMATEC, exclusively focused on the development and advancement of energy storage technologies, operates its own BESS R&D center in China and has now established a strong presence in Europe, with offices in Frankfurt and an upcoming production plant in Spain. The company is certified as a Tier 1 manufacturer by Bloomberg, with an already installed capacity exceeding 10GWh worldwide.

In Greece, SERMATEC is exclusively represented by UPSOLAR, a company with a 20-year presence in the photovoltaic sector. Combined with PVMAINT’s highly trained installation, maintenance, and technical support team for SERMATEC storage systems, they ensure the optimal operation of its products and the consistent fulfillment of warranty commitments.

As stated in a joint announcement by Filippos Lazarakos, Director of PVMAINT in Greece, and Giannis Markatatos, General Sales Director of UPSOLAR in Southeastern Europe, this collaboration is part of a dynamic investment plan in BESS technology solutions. The implementation of these systems will significantly reduce Greek businesses’ dependence on expensive electricity.

Finally, the two companies will officially mark their new partnership by participating in the upcoming International Exhibition for Green Energy, “Renewable EnergyTech,” taking place in Thessaloniki from March 13-15, 2025, at the HELEXPO exhibition center. At their shared booth (PVMAINT/SERMATEC, Hall 13, Stand C02), visitors will have the opportunity to see a fully functional 215 kWh battery cabin.
